INTERMAT provides foundational signature management capability of combat and support assets, systems and personnel, providing passive signature management solutions that significantly reduce detectable IR emissions whilst simultaneously being capable of directly leveraging infrared sensor limitation degrading adversary kill chains and targeting system.
INTERMAT is applicable to almost any surface or material – vehicles surfaces, naval surface combatants, infrastructure, assets, textiles - using a range of specialised paints, adhesives and textile coatings.
Simple and scalable application methodologies, including pattern-induced geometric degradation, exploiting sensor resolution limits and MTF roll-off blurring outlines and visible geometric structure.

Passive air & missile defense include all measures in conjunction with active defense to minimize the effectiveness of hostile missile threats. Such methods include detection, warning, camouflage, concealment, deception, dispersion, hardening, and the use of protective construction.
Anti IR signature management Coatings can be applied almost anywhere. Buildings, depots, hangars, airfield taxiways and corridors, fixed anti-aircraft systems, air conditioning units, generators, and on all surfaces, including concrete /cement, plaster, bricks, and asphalt (alkaline surfaces).
Our revolutionary coatings provide increased survivability of combat vehicles, fixed assets and personnel. Proven to defeat EO/IR sensors & IR seeking ordinances. Coating have defeated “Lock-On” and tracking systems by reducing thermal signature & detection range of a targets by up to 75%.

Coatings have been successfully utilised for maritime purposes proven extremely effective in a number of NATO member trials. These coatings have been formulated to not only provide IR signature management at sea but also withstand the rigors of the harsh maritime environment.
MULTI-EMISSIVITY TUNING
Task Optimisation
Theatre-specific emissivity tuning and pattern customisation allow optimisation for different environments and threats while maintaining consistent application methods across mixed fleets, supporting combined arms operations and logistical simplicity.
Tuneability enables Multi-emissivity Optical/IR stealth camouflage threat profiles - Emissivity bands can be further refined to align with background radiance mapping and iterative IPTCM simulations. Planners can balance these parameters to maximize combined obfuscation efficiency, whilst degrading DRI against known thermal sensor threats and capabilities.
Our colour selections have been meticulously engineered to encompass targeted emissivity bands. Each colour hue possesses a distinct emissivity band, within which its specific emissivity output can be precisely tuned and optimised.
Patterned multi-emissivity application can produce false negatives and reduced probability values of AI-enhanced thermal target recognition systems, surveillance and munitions (e.g., CNN-based algorithms like YOLO or ResNet adapted for IR targeting) whilst standard unicolour application was proven to significantly degrade FGM-148 Javelin, (AAWS-M) engagement ranges by up to 75%.
CAPABILITY INTERGRATION

Straightforward integration across all platforms with minimal disruption to current operations or maintenance regimes. INTERMAT coatings can be applied using standard application methods and equipment with minimal specialist application training.
INTERMAT coatings are fully compatible with both flexible textiles and rigid substrates, requiring only standard surface preparation similar to conventional CARC or automotive paints. Coatings are available in 1K or 2K – 2 year or 5 year – planning coating life span and can also be applied by 3rd party service providers with minimal training overheads.
INTERMAT IR stealth coatings have been proven to be interoperable with existing Radar Absorbent Materials (RAM) and radar-reducing coatings. They have been proven to be effective as an overcoat or in conjunction with RAM systems without compromising radar signature reduction performance and in some case enhancing performance, enabling true multi-spectral (IR + Radar) low-observability solutions. The passive nature of the coating ensures no interference with platform electronics, communications, sensors, or electronic warfare suites.
